Introducing the new HuskiesSuck.com
Blog - HuskiesSuck.com Site Blog

If you've ever been to HuskiesSuck.com before, you've probably noticed that recently we underwent a major upgrade and advancement of the site. Basically, we moved from a static web site, to a dynamic one, in order to help address the one consistent request we heard over and over from our readers...

more frequent content updates!

So, we've upgraded to a full-fledged content management system, which I think will dramatically improve our ability to publish relevant and timely content.

Along with that come a weath of other additional functionality and improvements:

  • Complete site re-design and graphics
  • Huskies Suck Blog
  • Video
  • Polls
  • Search
  • FAQ
  • Improved site navigation / organization
  • Email article to friends feature
  • PDF and Print article options
  • Mobile support for your phone (works great on Blackberry, iPhone, etc)
  • User accounts (for article submission, possibly future features like comments or message board, etc)
  • Improved ability to organize and categorize content
  • Paginated articles with article indexes
  • Dynamic newsflash blurbs (upper right)
  • Possible future additions: RSS feeds, user-authored articles, web links, comments, message board, voting, user ratings, and more
But most importantly:
  • Improved ability to add and manage content on the fly.

Hopefully we can now be in a better position to provide you with timely content, updates, and articles. Probably most blog posts will not make it to the front page, but as this was a major overhaul we wanted to acknowledge the change with our reader base.

One order of business is to establish a blog, which we'll try to update semi-regularly as the Huskies continue to make fools of themselves. You can help! Send us tips or links and if it's good we'll post it as soon as we can. Send tips to blog at huskiessuck.com. If it's good enough, it may make it as an article, although the nature of those will probably be limited more to bigger news stories.

Thanks for reading, and keep checking back during the season for more updates!
