The University of Washington Huskies are again winless.  It seems the only competition for the Huskies these days is coming form North Texas, home of the only other winless FBS team this season.  But like so many other competiions, it seems this is yet another one that the Fuskies have bungled.  

Exhibit A:  Team Mascot

The UW team goes by the "Huskies," although their actual mascot is of an Alaskan Malemute.  The Malemute is noted for it's excellence in helping to "move heavy objects over shorter distances." Unfortunately, "Alaskan Malamutes cope poorly with smaller animals, including canines."  Methinks that might explain the recurring problems with Beavers and Ducks.  Finally, these dogs have a bark worse than their bite... but the bark is still pretty gay:  "When it does vocalize, more often than not they tend to "talk" by vocalizing a "woo woo" sound (the characteristic vocalizations of Chewbacca in the Star Warsfilms are based upon a Malamute namedIndiana once owned by George Lucas)."  Uh... ok.  When a sci-fi movie picks a sound for an adorable character to be known as a "Wookie," it's not exactly an intimidating sound.

On the other hand, UNT goes by the "Mean Green."  How it got this name, I don't know, I don't care-- all we can say is that any team mascot with "Mean" as it's first name kicks some serious winless-team ass.

Take your pick, the whiney weasel, or the pouncing falcon?  This one is a no-brainer.

Exhibit C:  Student Body 

Aside from such prestigious alumni as Ted Bundy, Jerramy Stephens, and this guy,  the UW Huskies boast one of the most notorious and embarrassing moments in college humor history.  It's hard to beleive but it is true, and documented by legitimate newspapers.  It's shocking, and scandalous.  But I repeat-- IT IS TRUE.  The Huskies greatest claim to infamy is the infamous UW Sheep Incident, in which UW students were faced with "allegations it might have abused sheep during hazing activities."  Specifically, "the police officers said when the pledges were told to return to their rooms, they were wearing only underpants, had white grease on their hands and had peanut butter and other substances smeared on their bodies."  "The sheep in the house... appeared overheated and agitated."

  They will go winless until the last game of the year, when they play some high school team called the Cougars. Srsly, what has happened to football in this state?
